Last night I went out onto the streets of Croydon with the local Street Pastors.
These guys do an amazing job, giving up their Friday nights to work amongst the homeless, the drunks and those trapped in the local night-time economy. They are all volunteers from different churches across Croydon, and selflessly give themselves to anyone who needs them.
They've been doing this in Croydon for about three years now and all the local pubs, clubs and clubbers know them and love them. The relationships they have built up over that time are quite extraordinary. Surely this is what church should be doing everywhere.
I was there to take some photos to promote their work. It was real priviledge. These are some of my favourites. All images were shot on a Canon EOS 1D MkIV ,with 24mm f1.4 lens

Nice shots mate took some of these myself for Bideford Street Pastors you can see them here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/42855007@N00/4997797823/.
Great shots I imagine there was no end of drama and interest on a night in Croydon.
